My wife Nancy has MS and is part of a group called “Women On The Move” which is part of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the MS Society. They have a fundraiser luncheon to benefit the MS Society every year.

This year’s event is Thursday, September 22, 2011, 10: 30 am to 1:30 pm at the Fox Chapel Golf Club. The gust performer is David Osmond (nephew of Donnie and Marie). Both David and his father Allan have MS, but David is doing very well now and wants to help raise awareness of MS.

We are looking for:

• People to attend the luncheon
• Donations or raffle ticket purchases
• Businesses to donate items for the silent auction
• Just pass the word

Help Support Our Troops and Fill Your Easter Basket with Candy!

Military Connections will be running an online Easter candy fundraiser with Joe Clark Candies this year. Joe Clark Candies is a family owned chocolate factory that has been making delicious chocolates since 1937 in Tarentum, PA. So, remember to ask family members, friends and co-workers to support you and to help make this a successful fundraiser.  The average person spends at least $50 in Easter Candy every year, now you can help support the troops with your candy order.

This is how it works:

Fill out the support your School / Organization form at the bottom of the home page.  Make sure to put MC11E as the organization/ school code and put in the seller’s name (Military Connections).  After you have submitted the form you can go back to the website and continue with your shopping. www.clarkcandies.com/Easter.html

Once you are ready to checkout follow the directions given on the website.

You will be asked to fill out the shipping address during your checkout, make sure to fill this out even if you would like to have the order delivered to Military Connections.  You will have the option of selecting how you would like to have your item shipped on the next page before finalizing your payment.  If you would like to have it shipped with the Military Connections order make sure to choose ship with organization fundraiser.

Please place your order online by March 15^th if you would like to have your order delivered with the Military Connections fundraiser.

National MS Society, Western PA Chapter Join us for a Steelers Playoff Rally on Friday, Jan 7th from 6-8pm at Buckhead Saloon in Station Square! Steeler Nick Eason will be guest bartending and other current Steelers will be joining us throughout the night. Just $5 donation gets you in and a $10 donation gets you a meet and greet with all of the players!

All tickets will be sold at the door.
